BTG Consistency Meters

hey people, anyone here have any experince with BTG consistecy meters? I have one here in a pulp paper mill, and everytime we shutdown for a while and start back up the reading changes, only once in a while though. Any suggestions?

One possibility is that you have a valve that is not shutting properly. That will cause the pulp stock in the line to de-water, and give a higher reading upon startup.

If you have a data historian, try to correlate the amount of downtime with the reading change. I.E. A 2 hour shutdown causes no significant change, but after an 8 hour shutdown a significant change is recorded.
