ASME 831.3 Pipes and Severe Cyclic Conditions

dear sir ,

can you help to know more about this type of pipe

1- the max temprature

2-the max -min pressure

3-is it for flammable and toxic fluids

for example i hav erefinary piping it is from this type or normal fluid type

and i need to know that to check the acceptance criteria of radiogrphic test only

• I think you mean ASME B31.3 not ASME 831.3.

• ASME B31.3 is a standard specification for "Process Piping" or "Refinery Piping" to cover design, material, fabrication, test, examination, erection, ... etc.

• To know more, I recommend you have to to get a copy of that code and to attend a training course(s) to learn more.

dear thanks ,

i have acopy from this standard 2007 , but ineed your help to know is the piping in this station is ( severe cyclic conditions ) or normal fluid Category

the pipesare as follow

1-toxic and flammable flude

2-pressure up to 50 bar

3-materail A106 G B

i need to know for the RADIOGRAPHIC acceptance criteria its different for category m and normal fluid service and severe cyclic condition
