How to Make a Bootable XP CD

01/20/2010 5:42 PM

I am having a Window XP SP-2 setup CD. I want to make a copy of the same bootable CD with Nero 7 How to perform this task? (Actually I have made a copy of the original CD in usual way but it is not bootable)

Not familiar with nero, but there should be a checkbox in the program to make the disk autoboot. If the disk is an image, then you should uncheck the "make disk bootable" since it may already have the properties to make it auto boot which may cause a conflict. Once this is done you need to change the settings in your setup to boot from CD first. Otherwise it will start from HD with original OS.

Hope this helps.

You need to create an ISO image of the setup-CD, then use Nero 7 to burn it. Use the slowest burn speed available!
