cable joint

hello every body,

whats the difference between cold and hot shrink cable joints and their uses in the projects both in termination and cable jointing?

Is this for utility-company-based electrical supply arrangements or Client-based site works? Most Clients will have specifications on the number of cable joints that are to be used on their sites and their locations, often zero.

British Standard 7671 covers most of these sorts of things.
