Lightweight Trunnion Ball Valve Source

01/21/2010 10:59 PM

Hello to experts of ball valves

Can someone recommend a manufacturer of a 2-inch stainless steel ball valve which is trunnion mounted for lowest actuation torque. The maximum operating pressure is 1000 psi in a 2-way pattern and would have a reduced port. There are many API type around which seem way overbuilt, usually full-port, even for 150 class service. Ideally, an instrumentation grade perhaps, that would not be so danged heavy. I plan for butt weld ends on 2-inch sch.40 pipe.

Trying to lose some weight...

Contact local valve distributors and discuss the specification with them directly, perhaps?
