what disadvantages to use same core for over cuurent and differential protection

what is the disadvantages to use the same core of a CT in differential and over current protection of a transformer 132/ 33 and 25 mva

Accuracy class and saturation level of both the core are diffrent.

Due to difference in % composit errors, during through fault condition unwanted trip may occur.

Usually back up protection should use separate core as it can operate independant of main protection components to take care of failure of main protection CT, shorting of its secondary wiring. Technically, if burden is within limits, you can use same core for differential and over current protection.

you can actually do that from pratical experience by applying principle of convertion through solid state.with addition of few component through ac-ac or dc-dc depending on the type of protection you are looking.but mind you the design should witstand high voltage relative to your source of supply and load matching and efc.
