Would anyone tell me manafactures recomendations on capacity deductions for a Link Belt 518 from -30c to -50

Of course! The mfr, Link-Belt. Call a rep and ask.

You may have to substitute some components made from LTCS (low temperature carbon steel) for the normal steel parts.

And maybe change some lubricants and fuels to low temperature versions.

Agree. You should be aware that at those temperatures steel will be quite brittle. Especially critical for lattice boom cranes.

The most important thing about a Boom Crane is that it is level or it could cause severe structural damage and even tip over. Many Boom Cranes have outriggers (legs that extend and keep it level).
