Three Winding Transformer

02/08/2010 9:16 PM

We have a 3 winding transformer rated:

138/69/13.8 kV transformer;

100/100/30 MVA

12/7.7/4.2% impedance that is PS/PT/ST P-primary; S-secondary, T-tertiary

Can anyone tell me how to draw its damage curve?..

Is it the same with the 2 winding transformer?.. if it is, then it would be easy..

U can Drawing the DAMAGE CURVE of ur transformer if u equip ur self with the following datas:

  1. The catagory of the transformer: I think urs is in category 6.
  2. Use the table of the transformer category for ur respective calculation.
  3. Calculate the Infrequent Faults ( Thermal Damage).
  4. Calculate the frequent Fault (Including infrequent point and Mechanical Damage points).
  5. Calculate the full load current.
  6. Calculate the inrush current.
  7. Note shift of the data poins of the secondary by 0.58
  8. Use ur results to plot graph
