Are you constrained by time or cost? You can buy fast setting highly filled compounds for that use.

For filling highway pot holes of all sizes use:

"flashfill" consist of a priprietary quickly curing blend of coal fossil power plant fly ash. Contact Civil Engineering Dept, AEP American Electric Power, Columbus, Ohio or

Rex Peppler, Civil Engineer

AEP Clinch River Plant,

For temporary use plate compacted aggregate will do a graded media is best in order to key itself together, we use this commonly in the heavy transportation industry to repair service roads to remote sites. It is all a question of how the 30Te is distributed and what the bearing load of the sub base is, 30Te spit over a few axles and the foot print of the tyres is less than a 30Te point load

Check out the website: http://www.sweeprite.com/

and then select Patchrite Pothole Patcher

This machine is capable to quickly and more efficiently patch a pothole than the traditional two-man road repair team that does it by hand.
