RCD and ELR for Motor Protection

Hi, are RCD & ELR can be use for motor protection?

Dear Friend,

The ELR can only be operated with CBCT which can sense the leakages in power cables.We have to use EFR for motor protection.

No. Use overcurrent sensing devices instead:

  • Fuses
  • Breakers
  • Overload trips.
