	The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), U.S. engineering colleges, and many other organizations are celebrating National Engineers' Week in the U.S. this week: February 14th - 20th, 2010. This thread honors / shows appreciation to engineers of all-stripes across the globe, for "Turning Ideas into Reality". This engineer thanks you for quietly improving the quality of many, many lives - on a daily basis and usually in an un-noticed way - for folks living in all parts of our shared planet. 	Hooray! And much back-slapping all 'round! Well done ladies and gents. So...does this mean that for at least one day this week I can have some heat in my cubible? If I can first submit documentation supporting that the sudden thermal stresses won't cause my slide rule to lock up, of course.

	A machinist friend of mine could help us with those thermal stress problems. And on the bright side, a mechanical slide-rule can't catch a computer virus. Thanks for sharing Guest, and happy engineers' week to you! - Larry
