why don't we use light for mass transfer?

Because it doesn't hold a lot of weight. But seriously, you need to explain a little more in detail.

light have lot of energy in form of speed

why does it trevel in streight line?

which type of energy it contain? e.g kinetic.potentional and etc

Uh, because light is light i.e. not heavy?

This is a common misconception. For instance, when Green Lantern uses his ring to lift things, etc., there IS light, but not only light. What you don't see is the tractor beam that is actually doing the work, not the light.

I'll bite... homework?

How about some elementary "Gedanken" experiments:

Let's PRETEND we have have 2 "magical" black-boxes that are 100% efficient (lossless). One box converts a mass into its equivalent photonic energy (assume a nice coherent LASER beam) and the other box converts the photonic energy back to the original mass. This is pretty much a basic "Star Trek" mass/energy/mass transporter system.

In a simplified analysis using Einstein's equivalence of E = M * C^2

1.0 [kg] mass is equivalent to
9.00E+16 [J] of energy

I'll arbitrarily pick a transporting light beam power level of 10 [MW]. I've seen ~100 [kW] optical beam power LASERs operate for a couple seconds. A 10 [MW] continuous LASER would be both an impressive and scary thing to witness!

10.0E+06 [J/s] or [W] light beam
9.0E+09 [s] time required to transfer the energy
285 [Years] to "transport" 1 [kg] from point A to point B

Assuming we had these "magic" boxes, does this seem to be a practical way to move mass?

Note that 9.0E+16 [J] is equivalent to 2854 [MW-Years]

It would make a wonderful power source if we could put 1 [kg] of anything into a magic box and get 285.4 [MW] of electrical power out for 10 [Years]. One of these could cleanly power a small city for a decade. Something we can only dream about for now.
