We have a philosophic post here!

i can think about hundreds of applications, like unbreakable windows with built in heating capability, parts of electric devices that are currently made on bolted or soldered parts being plastic injected, conductive paint (we already have it...), semi-conductive technology using plastic, maybe the development of a material that can carry eletricity well while performing as a thermal-insulation, I am not a specialist, but would like to read what people have to say here.

bhrescobar

Have a look at Integral Technologies website (ITKG)_

They have been developing electriplastic, and have come some

ways. They say it will be

produced by third party this year.

Like to hear what you think of their achievement ?

Here is an article about a company that plans to make digital displays for electronic books:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16561007/

They expect that plastic electronics will be cheaper to produce and we will see them in disposable applications (more junk for the landfill) and in places where it has previously been too expensive. Expect toys to take full advantage of this.

Polytetrafluoroethylene [PTFE] laden with carbon-black (finely divided carbon particles) is used today as a conductive medium for the manufacture of conductivity-based level switches used in the fine chemical industry where the liquids are so corrosive that no other conductor will withstand contact with them.
