Torque Calculation for Roller

02/25/2010 1:51 AM

Dear All,

I would like to ask a question that how can we calculate the exact torque for the roller?

1. Can we use the formula T=I²α ?(Mass moment of Inertia and Angular acceleration)

2. We are having Mass for the Rotating body and minimum distance of the body from center line.

Can you help pl?

Thanks and best regards,

Prasad

What's the power 2 doing in that equation, and where did it come from.

Are your proposed units correct ? - I presume you know about units analysis, and if not, then please know that it a fundamental check to do.

Of course I (and thousands of others) know the answer, but any related text book will have it too.
