Motors and Partial Discharge

Can anyone recomend me an acceptace criterion for partial discharge for a 6kV motor?

Is this something to do with earthing the terminals before disconnecting it?

Kindly check with IEC standard. In the case of 6KV or 11Kv cast resin transformers,the maximum acceptable level of partial discharge under IEC726 is 20 pico Columb, pC.
