Air Cleaner for Spray Painting

03/01/2010 5:02 AM

Can anyone assist me in the selection of the correct air exhaust/cleaning system for a spray painting area? Please note that an economical solution is favourable utilising special filters (if available) and exhaust fans suitable for use with VOCs instead of a complex and expensive solution with regenerative oxidizers etc. Thanks a lot in advance

What size operation are you running? Painting a dozen items a day, or a thousand per day?

Are you shooting catalyzed urethane, enamel, powder-coating, ...?

In what country/state/city will it be used? Government regulations will have much to do with what system is proper/allowable.

It is a small size operation painting metalic frames (approximately 20-30 per day) using thinner based paint (primer actually).

Location is Cyprus and unfortunately there are no specific governmental requirements with regards to the exact type of system to be used, therefore any appropriate system will do.

You can probably use a simple exhaust fan & filter system. Check some of these suppliers for ideas and products:
