The Three States of Cooling

03/01/2010 11:55 PM

272/222/166 MVA Transformer, ONAN/ONAF/OFAF cooling, what exactly this 3 stages of cooling refers to,

And in the nameplate details Z=14% mentioned on OFAF, is there any relation b/w %Z and type of cooling

1. Please check previous threads, this has been discussed in detail, Here, and a couple of other places too.

2. Yes and No. The type of cooling increases the transformer's MVA rating. It is explained in simple form here,

3. Before asking use the search box on right. Most of the questions are answered more than once in this forum.
