Recovery of oxygen from PSA nitrogen plant

03/07/2010 2:05 AM

Dear Sir,

we are having a PSA nitrogen plant with 110CFM capacity with a duty cycle of 80%. We are currently leavin the exhaust gases to atmosphere. we are planning to know, if these oxygen rich exhaust gases can be recovered.
Has any research been done on this, or any plant in your knowledge has made a economical recovery these recovered gases

This is feasible when using MOLSIV - and reactive tanks /check U.O.P. It is necessary to know the rest of the components in the stream. A run through a gas chromatograph can provide this. Separation can with different SIV (molecular siv) reservoirs.

We tried to use it in boiler as oxygen enrich air, it given fantastic result and increased efficiency of boiler, but one should be very careful for boiler tube heating. It should be done very carefully.
