Spool Winding

03/09/2010 3:38 PM

I am looking for the best or proven ways to count yards or feet of fishing line being wound on spools at a rate of 10 to 15 meters / sec. I would like to have some outputs or switching to start, transfer, or stop equipment at a preset yardage.

Daily resettable totals would be nice but not necessary

Thanks Dennis

Is this a production process? How thick is the wire? How big (diameter and weight) is your mother spool? How big is the spool you want to wind on? And the holders, what are they? Diameter, weight? What needs to be the precision? What is your budget for it?
