Distilled water? Yes. Be careful how it is stored, though, otherwise its quality and therefore its usefulness will deteriorate.

The answer to your question is NO.

You should only use distilled water. Distilling water removes impurities and minerals from the water. You to do want minerals to collect on the internal battery plates. This could cause a reduction in battery performance.

If you can't guarantee that all impurities have been removed from the condensed water I wouldn't suggest using it in your battery.

Regards, Tim

Batteries need no minerals. If filtered well - because your Ac water - has also dust particles - you can use this. This is called DEMIN water demineralized. It is not so easy available in drugstores that is why Distilled water is used in most cases. It is like using ethyl alcohol to clean. Availability and/ or marketing issue. Only minerals will contaminate your plates.
