Magnetic Poles in Single-Phase Induction Motors

Hi all !!! i want to know how many poles in single phase induction motor!! motor like used in piston pump or used in washing machine !! & how magnetic field is rotating in single phase induction motor??? i hope u guys help me !! Regards,

3450 RPM - 2 poles.

1725 RPM - 4 poles.

1175 RPM - 6 poles.

850 RPM - 8 Poles.

These are the common typical RPM speeds for each standard pole configuration on a 60 cycle power source but the actual RPM can vary from motor to motor.
