csp tower reciver

03/13/2010 1:30 PM

If a steam power plant with csp (central reciver) that gives 10 MWe with tower long 100m and want to scale-up the plant to produce 20 MWe , the change in the plant is to make the hilostate filed biger and incrase the tower tall , or we increase the hilostate filed and change the hilostate driven and elimenate the change in the tower diamention (100m) to reduce the cost.

Some word translations may help: receiver, heliostat, field, bigger, increase, eliminate, and dimension.

This is a bit of a guess, but if the field area is multiplied by factor f, the tower height should be multiplied by √f to keep the angular geometry consistent, especially to keep the outermost mirrors from being blocked by inward mirrors.
