Start here. Then when you know the concepts come back with specific questions.

The possibility of homework seems high to me.

Perhaps you could explain why you want to know.

I was just reading one industrial instrument topic and face active and passive sensor words and it was not clear for me. So, I posted to know if someone knows or explain it more clearly for me.

Hello, Hameedullah Ekhlas,

Google is very good for finding your answers. I typed "passive sensor" and the dropdown showed "passive sensor definition" in the lowest row. I selected that and it gave many "hits". From one of them, I got this:

An active sensor sends out a signal and measures the response (e.g. radar), whereas a passive sensor measures only (e.g. light wavelengths).

It took me maybe 2 minutes. Not that we don't welcome being able to help, but I suggest you spend some time learning to use the various internet search engines. You can get answers much faster by doing so.

Mike
