Photovoltaics, Net Metering, and True Up

If I have a PV system, with net metering why would it matter if the true up is annually or monthly

Depends on how much risk you take and how much you want to be a financier. I hope you do it through a different counter meter? If your meter stalls in that year without repair? Bye money. Your money doesn't give you a lot of return in the banks these days, but who knows later?
