Oh, that's an easy one, Captain. You do this so as to minimise the risk of fire, destruction, loss of turnover, injury and death at the facility and the surrounding area.

one major point is missed out: conservation of electrical energy by effective utilization of production machines like large compressors,rotating machines etc.
