Electrical Energy Audit

well energy audit in prodution units is done mainly for the conservation of electrical energy by effective utilization of production machines like large compressors,rotating machines etc.

Cost saving is the advantage of taking action on it once it has been carried out.

The analysis is done by looking at each and every electrical load:

• The need for it to be on at all.
• Is there a more efficient way, e.g. low-energy lighting?
• Can it be turned off for parts of the day, e.g. overnight (it's amazing how many buildings blaze brightly with no occupants in them...) - timeswitches, occupancy detectors, etc.
• Can it be altered to reduce tariff charges, e.g. power factor correction, soft-starting....

etc., etc.
