Rating of Flanges and Valves

Any body could you say? what is rating of flanges and valves?

rating stands for what ? why equelent flanges required for flange joints?

It is combined Pressure and temperature limit condition for which the Pressure vessel component can be used.

why equelent flanges required for flange joints

Else OD will not match

ID will not match

Bolt hole diameters will not match

Bolt Hole PCD will not match.

Application conditions may not match
