Electrical Input

03/22/2010 1:04 AM

The stray-load loss occurring at fundamental frequency is determined by applying balanced polyphase voltage to the stator-winding terminals with the rotor removed. The electrical input minus the stator I2R loss at test temperature is equal to the fundamental frequency stray-load loss.

what does "electrical input" mean here? "input power"?

Guest#1 continues from where he left after some deep thought

Total power (Electric) - Copper Losses (I2R) = Other Losses.

But Guest wonders why it is only fundamental frequency stray loss- there should be definitely the Iron Loss (Hysterisis) involved.

(Like Caeser he talks in 3rd person about himself)
