Comparing EN41B and EN19

03/23/2010 5:32 AM

What is the advantage of EN41B (BS 970 905 M39) over EN19 (BS 970 709 M40) as far as nitrocarburizing is concerned?

I searched on net but no definite difference is found.

Please help.

En41B is containing 0.9 to 1.3% Al which play as a very useful nitriding or nitrocarburizing agent

SO, CAN I SAY THAT IT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF EN41B OVER EN19?

Better nitriding means better fatigue resistance, lower coefficient of friction, higher corrosion resistance, higher hardness.
