Hydraulic Injection Pile

03/26/2010 5:53 AM

How safe is this system, will the piles fail, say in 5-years time after completion of the Tower Block. Certain Towers in Singapore are encountering foundation movements as the piles starts losing some of its frictional shears due to distressed soil.

From a Consulting Engineer from Singapore with a Doctorate degree. I have also double-checked with my contacts and they also concord with him.

Alright, I'll add further. Soil test data, Load calculations per piling, piling diameter and the elevations of the site could help in answering your question. G

gcoffing is correct. Until there is data provided and it's substantiated independently, then it's merely here-say and not worth a plug nickel.

Like gcoffing says - data needed. Until data from an acceptable source is provided this is in the same group as sea stories, fairy tales etc. The degree of the person involved means nothing unless he is well known to the group. At any site you can find malcontents who are unhappy for one reason or another.
