Datasensor -Italy make photocell sensor

03/28/2010 12:45 PM

Dear all,

I have one photocell which is Datasensor make (Italy).

Datasensor type is TLµ-011.

It has both option PNP and NPN.

But how to select it I dont know.

Is there anybody to guide me.

That is the type of transistor output connection. These photocells work on DC - mostly in a range from 12 to 24 volts. PNP means the output is delivered from a PNP transistor. NPN is a NPN transistor. These photocells have a cascade output circuit so that you can use or a -12 volts (minus- negative) or a + 12 volts (plus- positive) output to energize your switching device. (relais- coil, lamp or whatever)

If you have 3 wires or connections: one is for +12 volts, one for -12 volts (ground level) and the third gives the output in + 12 volts or - 12 volts depending on PNP or NPN choice. It should be on the instruction paper.
