Manufacturing

How about a user group for manufacturing? In the UK this seems to be a dirty word, and the way legislation is coming out makes me think that government wants to ship all of it out of the country, and have a service based economy. I've seen a request for industry – same thing?

I wonder if the request was for individual kinds of manufacturing, so you the user group would be Manufacturing and there would be many specific kinds of manufacturing listed under it.

We used to call such engineers Production Engineers and they were usually very smart people. But I guess Manufacturing Engineers would be a better a title.

Try this link www.manufacturinginstitute.co.uk.
