Cost Estimation - Pipe / Structural Welding

1. How to Calculate the cost for 1" dia pipe welding & Laying?

2. How to Calculate the cost for Strucural (1 Ton) fabrication and erection?

3. What is the productivity of SMAW (6G) welder?

4. What are the parameters to be taken while Cost Estimation?

Any general format / Thumb rule is their.

This is so depending on what, how and where. Make a price, do it - If you make profit. Ok If you make loss, your price is too low. That's how people learn, begin best with small projects to get graduated.

Have a look at www.costeng.com. They have a good software package for estimating the costs of spooling pipe in a fab shop and also for installation on site. I understand they are also working on a seamless CAD - Estimating interface. Might be worthwhile talking to them to find out more
