Presentation on FEA

Dear All,

I have to give presentation on FEM/FEA. and i want to show very basic things about FEA. i want to convince them that FEA is not a big thing. i am working in FEA for last 3 years, but i dont have presentation to support the same.

I'm not sure I get your point. I think FEA is a big deal. I'm old enough to have done this stuff by hand, and then later on mainframe computers where I might get a hundred cells in my mesh and then have to wait ten hours for processing. Modern FEA is a great time saver. I find it challenging and easy to make mistakes on, so not simple.

I agree, the concept is 'simple', that is, plugging numbers into a computer and getting a "result".

HOWEVER, the difficulty lies in setting up the model and analyzing/interpreting the result.

(any literal monkey can punch numbers on a calculator and another number will appear - does this final result mean anything?)
