This largely depends on things like load and duty cycles but generally speaking, tailoring your power to your consumption needs with a modern variable frequency drive will probably yield the most savings. Might save you money on wear and tear of motors and equipment in the long run too. Shop around for the best Mfr. to suit your needs. Some are better at big or little than others.

The "Off" switch.

In all seriousness, one of the biggest wastes of energy is having motors running for no reason. Monitor your process and if the motor becomes unloaded, turn it off. There are devices that claim to reduce energy use with "space age" technology that "optimizes" the power getting to the motor. These are for the most part scams designed to separate you from your money. There are a VERY FEW legitimate applications where that will save any appreciable energy, but they are few and far between. Those devices only save energy if the motor is virtually unloaded, and as I said in the outset, if it is unloaded, turn it off!

AC motors use energy in proportion to the work they are required to do no matter what. The total energy consumption is the work performed plus any losses. In modern energy efficient AC motors, as almost all are now designed, the total losses are in the neighborhood of 3-5% at full load, increasing in percentage to only 5-7% at half load (but remember the LOAD is less at that point too). So the only energy you can possibly save is in that "wasted" category. No device, no matter how sophisticated, can make anything 100% efficient. So if you see a device that claims to save you 25% or 40% energy, that tells you right there that they are liars and are scamming you. Beware!

Other than that, VFDs (as previously mentioned) can IN SOME APPLICATIONS reduce energy usage by eliminating other system losses in centrifugal machines with variable flow / pressure / air volume. But even that concept is frequently over sold.

Thanks for your reply.

This requirement, i.e Best energy saving equipment like drives, power boss (UK), intelligent controller (Korea) for the motor services.

Which can be suitable for the motor applications? for both LT and HT
