MT9m001 CMOS Image Sensor

04/03/2010 6:08 AM

Hi everybody...

I have circuit developed for USB camera...consists of Micron's MT9M001 CMOS digital image sensor with Cypress's USB microcontroller CY7C68013A.

All is working fine ...but one thing concerns me, upon testing with my kit, it drops the frames randomly. Sometimes it works well without dropping any frames, and sometimes it drops all frames. It is happening randomly...

Pls anyone here has experience with MT9M001 CMos sensor guide me tosolve this problem... Any hint or cause...?

Regards...

Hi, I'm trying to do the exact same thing...i.e. a USB camera module using a Micron Image sensor with the Cypress USB microcontroller CY7C68013A. I'v just started , and I had a few doubts. 1. Is the USB controller actually capable of handling the data rates generated by the sensor or have u tweaked the pixel array / frame size etc? 2. I'm not modifying the default status of the sensor , even then is it going to be necessary to generate handshaking(start bit , stop bit, ack , nack) signals on the SDATA line of the sensor?Or since it is in default mode , pixel array data read out will begin immediately. 3. What sort of timeline should I factor in for the project to be in working condition? Thanks Rushil
