I have noticed that the forum has been visited worldwide and price is something that is different all over the world.

In Europe 2000.00 dollar is considered a decent salary, while in the US it makes you laugh.

In china 400.00 dollars is good.

So if they change the GA rating system to something else and you still have the same low average numbers as before, What then? Do we then change the ratings system to some other rating format yet again? And then do it again and again until a ratings system is created where the numbers match your personal feelings of superiority even if others don't value you or your ratings that way?

This rather sounds like someone is trying to develop yet another way to justify his lower GA ratio to be worth more in order to satisfy an ego that is being bruised by those who are earning much higher GA ratios in far shorter times while they have been putting forth very little effort to purposely earn them.

Personally I would prefer that this whole GA rating system be taken out just so those who cant handle the fact that others may just be better rated than they are wont continually waste forum space with new convoluted ways to try and justify their apparent fragile ego's and feelings self importance to anyone but themselves.

I think that when someone wants a higher GA's rating perhaps spending more time learning how to do the things that will get more GA's would be a better tactic than trying to figure out a way to change the system so that it favors a different method of weighting instead? If you want to be seen as more valuable by others start by doing things that are going to be seen as more valuable by others!

I never said anything about changing the basic system. What I suggested was an experiment.

I've long suggested that irrespective of GAs, thread start star ratings ought to be factored into CR4 status. Personally I find it harder to come up with a good question, than a good answer. That would be a change.

Certainly your GA percentage is high, so what's you're problem?

AH has a higher GA than you. Most people who show up here go away if after 300 posts they don't get 5.

My question for discussion is whether or not GAs are really worth anything in the normal quantifiable normal way we gauge this stuff.

I think the whole GA system is completely worthless. It is a system that is easy to beat, once you know how. Now I am trying with a nice avatar. LOL.

If the goal is to get a good GA/post rate, you should never ask for info,

know how to make the post beautiful and acceptable

and certainly write as much in as little words possible, that nobody else is able to add something that you didn't say.

It took me about a lifetime to find out the paragraph thing and Transcendian became my mentor for that item. I hear things like "editor bar" wow, where is it? Highlight things? I am happy my text gets processed. If this is a race, we ALL need a horse.

This place I experience as the site of gasms (like ear- and other gasms) where problems can be solved by people who are not always complaining on what it costs to do it.

Geez, I guess you won't be lining up to help me put together a cadre of wall street bankers to bundle the GA currencies that will be voted on GA's under the proposed system, for which we would then create a derivatives market, then sell both the bundles, derivatives, (and a private insurance system) in tranches based on the provenance of the currency, the Cr4 member, and the topic. And make all prices end in $.99 so that I can keep the residual $0.01 for each transaction?

What if we made the prices end in $0.98 and then you could have a penny too?

Someone has to be entrepreneurial besides those KrisDel(tm) folks over in the land of perpetual rain and fog at the end of the chunnel.
