Testing of MCCB

04/04/2010 5:06 AM

Hello everyone,

We are MCCB manufacturers and we wanna test our MCCBs in some 3rd party lab , So i reffered to Table 10 of IEC-60947-2 that specifies the Number of samples and the test sequences needed to test any MCCB. If anyone experienced with tests ; How correct is this number of samples given , So that we can know the number needed to be sent to the lab?

Najjar,

IEC are not kidding , when they specify a number of samples for the test this means that this number is the correct one, and you should send minimum this number to the lab.

Please note also that the lab should be also IEC accredited

Regards

In statistic methode (normal distribution) : you should send minimum 30 samples MCCB (same rating) to the lab. For example : 30 samples MCCB 10 amperes, 30 samples MCCB 30 amperes, etc.
