Is there relation between voltage and frequency in generator?

Yes there is. The AC generators which generate 415 Volts at 50 Hz are always coupled to an engine that rotates at 1500 RPM. If speed is increased to 1800 RPM, frequency easily escalates to 60 Hz.

Hz or RPM, in its broadest sense, represent change of something over a period of time.

Do you mean frequency or amplitude?

The voltage and frequency (speed) have a very week coupling.

The frequency (speed) of the generator depends on the turbine/engine input and the voltage depends on the exciter/field regulator of the generator. These two can be independently controlled.

The voltage depends on the Q (reactive power the load consumes).

The frequency depends on the P (real power the load consumes)

In general generated e.m.f

where A = 2 - for simplex wave-winding

= P - for simplex lap-winding

N- speed in rpm

p- poles

Z- n.o of armature conductors

and

F=N*P/120

F-FREQUENCY.............

Voltage Generated is directly proportional to the Speed of the generator or prime mover

E= K x Flux x speed x turns
