Industrial Desulfering of Natural Coal

We are in the process of evaluating the possibility and economic viability of industrial scale desulfering of Natural Coal. Other Than Coking Ovens, what other process are possible. Appreciate all possible info on the process.

Environmentally vigorous process. MAny possible bad outcomes.

Look up Battelle Hydrothermal Coal process, it involves a very fine coal grind and aqueous alkaline reaction.

Here are a few patents to consider: 4325707, 4167397, 3909213, 3909211, 3768988, 3252769.

I am very serious when I tell you that the environmental degradation that these types of operations can have are beyond your wildest imaginings. I worked in a coke plant for two years and a slag crusher and sinter plant for 6 or 8 and it was really filthy and poisonous work.

You will create a permanent desert with runoff and particulate escapes.
