No Pf correction for generator

04/11/2010 3:10 AM

Why pf correction is not advicable for captive generators?

Gnerator manufacturer is recommenting that done switch on any capacitor when u run the plant in generator power supply. What is the reason?

How it will be effective when it comes to common grid?

PF correction applies to the loads (most typically inductive loads such as motors and solenoids) on a system, not to power sources.
