What information do you want? A guest (or no login at all) will give you access to the standards lists, along with a description of the standard and an index table of the standards contents (depending on which website you are using). If you want to read the actual standard you will need to purchase it off the website (although some are free, but those are clearly marked with a purchase price of $0.0 or the words 'free' or similar).

For general information on the standard (or specific sections only in detail) you may be able to obtain it off the internet (using a search) or from such sites as Wikipedia, however almost all standards need to be purchased before you can read them in their entirety.

For more information see previous threads on CR4 (there is a search function on the right-hand side of the screen).

This should have been posted in Electrical Engineering forum.

Anyway, these are the links. Go to the links and, using the search option from these sites, search for the specific standard that you want.

For European electrical standards:

IEC: http://webstore.iec.ch (search for the specific standard)

For North American electrical standards:

IEEE/ANSI: http://webstore.ansi.org (search for the specific standard)

NEC: http://www.nfpa.org/aboutthecodes/AboutTheCodes.asp?DocNum=70

NEMA: http://www.nema.org/stds/list-Title.cfm (search for the specific standard)

Also see the posting http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/51102 in Electrical Engineering forum.
