Even as I type I am exhaling into old crisp packets that are zip tied shut then wrapped in plastic and papier-mâché, they are then painted because it looks nice. I figure if I can convince the world to do this the 25 million is mine.

(use giant air scrubbers) 2 huge helium balloons robotics to unroll and position humongous appropriate membrane screen, continually going up and down into the atmospheres areas most effected. Apparently the future is in carbon technology so what is recovered can be used if Sir Branson has a place to store it??????? Ridiculous or not I don't have the means to check it out. It would require energy to rise but less to return to the earth surface. And then why not because they capture water in Hugh amounts using tugs or aircraft with synthetic bags for putting out fires or transporting drinking water.

The easiest way would be to kill about 80% of the animal life on the planet. After the initial upsurge of carbon dioxide emission due to the decomposition of all that tissue, the emission of said gas should decrease markedly. Of course, a lot of the plants would then have to struggle to get enough CO2 to live, but we wouldn't be bothered by that, what with being dead and all...

Should carbon dioxide emissions become regulated or "eliminated", one's justification for continued existence to the powers that be might well be something to think about in advance. The very wealthy and the government "leaders" would, no doubt, exempt themselves from the "cleansing" of the planet. After all, there wouldn't be enough of them left to dirty up the planet (globe?) -- if, indeed, they do now. It's probably just the unwashed, low-class masses that are the trouble; rich and powerful people seem to think that their "emissions" are cleaner and less noxious than those of you and me.

Furthermore, no one has yet really convinced me that this "warming", assuming it is real, is necessarily a bad thing. There might be some negative aspects, but I'm not convinced that the only sure manifestation -- a warmer planet -- is bad. Longer growing seasons come immediately to mind, and much land that is presently inhospitable would become much nicer for habitation if things warm up a bit. As for the huge storms and so on...these are all foretold by mathematical models of conditions we know absolutely nothing about nor do we know if they would come to pass. The only sure thing brought about by "global warming" would be a warmer globe.

Just like with "The Hydrogen Economy", people ought to think things like this through a bit more than they apparently do.

Guest,

The History channel had a show on recently called "little ice add: big chill" and in it they showed how the population was kepted in check by global cooling of the last little ice age. It was interesting to see that Greenland farmed and sustained 4000 people where today it is much to cold. Most of the plagues and black deaths were directly caused by cold induced starvation. After seeing the show one can clearly see that warm is much better than cold, and that cold kills and warm brings life. I say we go drive that SUV and put all the co2 in the air we can...and warm this planet up several degrees...as if such were even possible...

If it's to be removed the problem is not how to remove it, for that can be done. The problem is how to keep it stored so it doesn't return to the environment to cause the chaos that removing it is intended to prevent.

Underground repositories are used for nuclear waste. Not a solution. Merely a postponement. Is sequestration a parallel?

Discuss...

these morons are going to kill us all, (pre-maturely). Mother earth is capable of taking care of herself, thank you very much. She did a great job for nearly 6 billion years, I think she can take care of herself now as well. Our only problem is that what Mother earth must do to take care of herself now may very well not be in the best interests of the evolution of mankind. Wow. Imagine that... Mankind is truly NOT IMMORTAL. Yep, we do need to face the reality, which is that we will not live on and thrive on this planet forever. Mankind's greatest fear is now in front of him, staring him down!
