Basement Windows to Help Ventilation

Dear All

Looking for picture to show my client how basement with ceiling level underground can be ventilated naturally by having its windows adjacent to the building. many thanks for help.

... or maybe Light Tunnels?

These will transmit daylight, but not ventilate.

I am not really sure what you are after... more information? Are we on the right track?

Solatube makes a lighting/ventilation assembly for this purpose...go to www.solatube.com and noodle around for some apps that will work.

I dont know where you are located. But the pictures here so far should help.

These are a very common building practices in the U.S.

They work better if the windows are mostly water tight when closed.

Or, drainage must be provided in the bottom. (required by modern code)
