	Hey ppl, Hope life is good. I need some means of estimating the lifting capacity of a wire rope, a 20 mm 6x37 designation steel wire rope with a hemp core. Could anyone shed some light?

	Yes. The factor of safety varies with the condition of the cable, which is a function of age and maintenance history, hence the test-and-inspect requirement for certified lifting equipment.
