Looking for Help with Materials Heating and Drying Before Processing

04/29/2010 1:02 PM

Where should I look to find help with designing a solar system for heating and drying to both prepare our input clay materials for processing (size reduction via hammermill) and for final dry-heat conditioning for products sterility? (material auto temp controlled at 170 to 200 deg. for 20 to 30 minutes)

I know of several types of drying equipment that uses waste heat. What is the moisture reduction required for pre-processing drying? What is the thruput? What waste heat sources are there, there must be a hot exhaust from the final drying process if there is 170 - 200 deg been used.

New Zealand (South Island) and Israel, among other places. Salt lagoons are used to evaporate water from seawater before the salt is harvested.
