Demand for Diesel Engines in Saudi Arabia

05/08/2010 3:33 AM

What is the future for diesel based power generation engines in Saudi Arabia? 2-8mw (are there statistics available?)

Who are currently the major players in the market?

Who are the customers likely to be?

Any information would be greatly appreciated

The only locations I would consider asking these question and would respect the answer obtained would be in descending order of who you should contact:

  1. Your country's state department.
  2. The Saudi Arabian Embassy in your country.
  3. The United States Central Intelligence Agency (It's surprising what they freely publish on the Web.)

Now if you wish to discuss Engineering concerns related to this then we will certainly be happy to discuss this here. A few examples:

  • Concerns of running diesel based power generation in a hot desert climate.
  • Diesel engine or steam driven turbine burning fuel oil, which will be more efficient.

True or not coward, what the frack does that have to do with diesel generators in Saudi Arabia? I at least tried to answer the OP"s question.

Guest, that was rude and uncalled for. Plus it was off topic, disrespectful to the hard working people at the CIA, and wrong to boot.

Guest,

You are so wrong about me, what what else are you wrong about? Did you even glance at those links I provided?

However, right or wrong, this is NOT the forum to be talking about it. Begone please, and take your anonymity and fear with you.

Please let us know if KSA Diesels stands for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Diesels. If it does, why are you contacting an engineering forum group on a subject that involves marketing analysis of your products in your country?

If it does not, then a good way to find out the answers to your questions is to type in to google KSA Diesels and the next 100 pages descibes all the whereabouts, who's, what's of the subject matter. If you do not know how to interpret that information, let us know. And we'll consider what to do next.

tcinc002, I believe KSADiesels is based in Brazil, not Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Of course I could be wrong...my Portuguese is pretty rusty.

Here is a link to their web site.

I have not a clue why they would specifically want to market to Saudi Arabia. I'm open to suggestions.

TTFN.

Nice looking dog. what kind?

My Portuguese is almost nonexistent but that website seems to be some justice system in Brazil. Nothing is of a KSA nature.

If you google KSA diesels you'll see the inference to a royal family ownership corp called KSA diesels that has about the most control over all diesel activity that occurs there. In other words all imports to Saudi Arabia must have a local rep and this is the one for any diesel activity. Hence the suggestion that they contact them for all the answers.

KSA diesels Saudi, does have some export activity dealing with diesel development and the use of diesel fuel over gas that they are talking to the USA about and perhaps Brazil since Brazil is one of their large customers on an exchange program for iron ore.

Unless there is something wrong with my aol/google software this is what I get and from my travels there as well.

Thanks

Well, that would make sense. My search was for KSADiesels, as opposed to KSA Diesels. Totally different results.

The dog is a sheltie with Irish markings.
