Inconel 625 vs X750

Please advise: If Inconel X750 spring material on ball valves is suitable for sour service application?

No. X750 is no longer NACE MR-0175 approved except in very low concentrations of H2S. NACE MR-0175 is the bible for material compatibility with Sour Gas.

Some spring materials that are allowed are MP35N, Elgiloy, and Beta Titanium, however Titanium has issues with Acids (wells are acidized quite often) and with methanol.(Methanol is used to prevent methane hydrate formation.)

Check out table A.36 of NACE MR0175 (UNS N07750). You should be able to use it with certain HT and hardness requirements.
