What is the formula to find voltage drop of cable as per british standard? Explain with example.

You dont need to know about this subject because you dont know it. A person worry about the voltage drop calculation must have the sources to find out and calculate it. Since you do not have such sources like text book, any other documents etc I beleive that you are not in a situation to calculate voltage drop. ( I am afraid to wonder that you are a fake certicate engineer)....and you need example also!!!!

Voltage drop formula at starting condition is

Vst = 1.732 x IL x (L/1000 x Nos. of runs of cable) x (R cos Ø (st)+ X sin Ø (st))

% Vst = (Vst x 100) / V

Where,
Cos Ø (st)Starting power factor ( In absence of vendor data, motor starting power
factor is considered 0.30.)
Sin Ø (st)Sine value of angle corresponding to starting power factor
V

Voltage drop during starting
I

L

Full load current in Amp.
LLength of cable in meters
RResistance of the Cable in Ohms per Km
XReactance of the Cable in Ohms per Km
VSupply voltage (415 V)

Friend, I understand from the question that looking for voltage drop formula. Not for motor starting voltage drop.

Dear Alanvaderi,

This formula which i mention in my previous post is for any load ,load either motor or lighting...any type of load ,if we want to calculate the voltage drop than the above mention formula should be used ..............

If you know any other formula regarding voltage drop ,kindly share with us ....
