Moulding Micalex

02/15/2007 9:46 AM

We are currently moulding components, mainly electrical insulators withmetal inserts, typically used as standoff insulators in traction motorsusing high electrical grade DMC (Dome Moulding Compound). Our end user has requested that these components be moulded using Micalex.

I just have a couple of questions:
Would our current dome moulding tooling be applicable in moulding Micalex?
What state is the raw material in (i.e. Powder, liquid)?
Where could I get information on moulding temperaturesand moulding pressures?

Thanks a lot!
